For the past thirty years, Karim has engaged with, mentored, lectured, and trained lubricant sales forces, clients, and audiences with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds across the Middle East, Iran, the Indian Subcontinent, and East Africa.

 

The topics covered have been customized to suit each audience, ranging from technical aspects of lubricants, HSE, storage and handling, establishing lubricant laboratories, quality control of lubricant raw materials and blended products, setting up and implementing Used Oil Analysis programs, to strategies like Benefit Selling, B2B Sales, and Competing Through Quality.

 

Karim has also represented clients in the lubricant sales sector during commercial and industrial visits, providing technical sales support and consultancy, including addressing intricate troubleshooting scenarios.

 

Additionally, Karim manages additive and base stock procurement, optimizing lubre formulations, maintaining inventory levels, and minimizing dead stocks.

With a professional background spanning 28 years at Exxon/Mobil (Mobil) Egypt and BP Middle East's Regional Office in Dubai, Karim has navigated various cross-functional roles in dynamic environments.

 

Since 2009, Karim has led K Factor Consultancy & Training, operating from Canada and, since 2022, from the UK as well.

 

During this tenure, Karim has served as a consultant and trainer for numerous regional lubricant clients in the Middle East on a part-time contractual basis. Karim also represented NORIA, USA as a contracted trainer for five years until 2018.
